What it is
The Press Corps is a sports media training track operated under TAONI Media Assistants. Members complete a one-week bootcamp, then produce live for five weeks — filming, editing, and publishing real coverage of Full Court Press game days.
Who it serves
Young creators ages 16–24 who want serious reps in sports media — videography, photography, editing, social production, and live event coverage.
What participants do
Shoot game days, edit highlights and social cuts, deliver athlete reels, and publish a season recap. Every member leaves with a real portfolio of sports content.
What you leave with
A published sports-media portfolio, working knowledge of live production, paid rotation opportunities, and a pathway into TAONI Bridgeway.
Curriculum
- Week 1
Press Corps Bootcamp
Gear, framing, sideline etiquette, edit workflow, deliverable specs.
- Week 2
First Production
Cover a live game day; publish first social cuts.
- Week 3
Own the Day
Full game-day coverage end-to-end — capture, edit, publish.
- Week 4
Athlete Reels
Deliver individual highlight packages to participating athletes.
- Week 5
Compete Week Coverage
Higher-stakes scrimmages get the full broadcast treatment.
- Week 6
Premiere + Portfolio Drop
Publish season recap, present portfolio, open paid production rotations.
What you'll need
- Smartphone or camera capable of HD video
- Laptop for edit nights (loaners available — ask)
- Reliable transportation to game days
- Signed parent / guardian consent (under 18)
